Perry leads Cowgirls over La. Tech
Perry broke the McNeese women's three point record hitting 9-of-10 with a career high 39 points to lead all scorers. "We were playing Louisiana Tech and I really wanted to beat them," said Perry on her record setting performance. The win marks the first time McNeese has beaten Tech since the 1978-1979 season. "I think it's huge, monumental win for our program," said Cowgirls' head coach Brooks Donald Williams. "It's been 30 years since McNeese has beat Louisiana Tech and there have been very few times McNeese has been victorious. The Lady Techster program is rich in tradition and I honestly think they are extremely talented and more talented than they have been in the past few years. For our girls to come out and defend them like they did. it really showed heart and effort and intensity for 40 minutes through runs and through lead changes." There were seven lead changes in the game.

In the small cap space, JBF Industries, INOX Leisure, Su-Raj Diamonds, Walchandnagar, Nitco, Unichem Labs, Cinemax India, KRBL and Dhanalak Bank went up 10.5-20%. BSE Realty Index gained 50.08 points or 2.07% at 2,472.51. Unitech surged 4.27% and DLF up 3.03%. Buying was also seen in banking stocks like Kotak Mahindra went up 5.62%. ICICI Bank and SBI rose 1-1.5%. HDFC Bank was up 0.33%. BSE Bankex went up 2,472.51 points or 1.6% to 5,674.31. Power stocks also charged a bit in today's session; Index rose 25 points or 1.33% to 1,908.15. GMR Infrastructure gained 9.21% and Torrent Power up 5.55%.
